We would like to inform you about an important change regarding the 34th FIMS World Congress of Sports Medicine, originally planned to take place in Istanbul, Turkey, this year.
Due to unforeseeable circumstances, the Organising Committee had to propose a change in location from Istanbul to Ljubljana, Slovenia. This proposal has been officially approved by the FIMS Executive Committee on 28 March 2016.
The International Federation of Sport Medicine would like to warmly thank the Turkish Sports Medicine Association for their extraordinary work and accomplishments during the preparations of the Congress and the Scientific Programme so far. The Turkish Sports Medicine Association will continue to lead the Congress organization, supported by the Slovenian Sports Medicine Association.
We are convinced that Ljubljana is an excellent alternative and very attractive destination for everyone planning to attend the 34th FIMS World Sports Medicine Congress. The dates remain the same - from 29 September to 2 October 2016 - to not further interfere with your planning.
